Congratulations to the Dallas Mavericks! Can you believe it? The Dallas Mavericks are the champions of the world. I am so happy for these guys. They overcame every obstacle to obtain this status. For years naysayers taunted their disbelief. Commentators hurled their insults. And in the end the team in blue stood true. It was indeed a team effort. Someone put it this way, "10 was better than 3." Meaning a team effort ousted three individuals.
As Christians, there is so much we can learn from the sheer determination of the Mav's to triumph. Jesus encouraged, "I have overcome the world." We too, can outlast the pitfalls and snares of this world. We can pull together, encourage one another, believe in ourselves, hold onto faith in our Redeemer, and with confidence boast of our victory through our Savior.
